“THE WOUND”
Trance Zones
context:
For three evenings 20 participants from diverse disciplines examined switching from hypnogogic zones of trance to a deeper zones of the ‘Dionysian’ stuper.
Agus Riyanto, Javanese bull-trance, Bantengan, master was sent back to Indonesia by the immigration for a mixed-up of visa categories. The workshops then took a new direction in terms of the context of ritual and performance.
two sections:
Section one is a series of solos and groups of artists in experimental capers from a spectrum of mixed disciplines.
Short and overlapping.
Section two is a group ritual performance in a free rein within an abstract framing to indulge in trance states and spontaneous impulses. It is a distinct flow in its own collective streaming in different trance zones.
